Waterford Sports Partnership, in conjunction with Coaching Ireland is hosting three pilot Coaching Seminars in October and November. All the Seminars will include a mixture of practical and theory elements. The aim of the Seminars is to develop the skills of individual coaches in the areas of planning, observation, communication and feedback. The Seminars will be of benefit to coaches across all sports and the speakers we have lined up bring great expertise in their respective fields. The first Seminar, Personal Coaching Skills will take place on Monday 22nd October in the Kingfisher Club, Tramore Road, Waterford at 7.15pm -10.30pm with registration starting at 7pm. This Seminar will be led by Peter Jones, Sports Development Officer, Waterford Sports Partnership, Declan O’ Leary, Head of Coaching Services, Coaching Ireland and John O’ Neil, Munster Rugby Development Officer. The Personal Coaching Skills Seminar will cover practical sills for effective planning, delivery and evaluation of a coaching session. Participants will also have the opportunity to get feedback on their own coaching skills from the course tutors on the night. The cost of the seminar is €10 per person. Booking is essential as places are limited.
