Captain Woods Encourages Tyrone Supporters to Turn Out for Crunch Laois Match

Tyrone ladies launch 1

Tyrone ladies are encouraging all of their loyal supporters to come out in numbers for their crunch home match versus Laois on April 12th. These two counties will meet to decide who will stay in Division 1 and who will drop to Division 2 in what is effectively a relegation play off battle.

Tyrone, who will play their second home match in Round 7, are targeting the match in Clanabogan Park, home of Drumragh Sarsfields for an extra promotional push. This is not just an initiative that is being undertaken by the Tyrone County board but is also being driven by their players who are extremely active in promoting this fixture. The local venue will play host to what the Tyrone players hope will be a real family day, following on from the success of the annual family day hosted by Club Tyrone at the men’s final home league game, the ladies are pulling out all the stops to make Sunday 12th a memorable day.

Through the county coaches free tickets have been issued to all the Counties Primary schools and clubs are also receiving free passes for the game, special raffles will also take place on the day with the County players determined to get the support of the County behind them. Captain Neamh Woods says it is something the players have wanted to promote

“We had talked about this sort of thing last year having seen the success of the Kerry Spring series, the fixtures didn’t work out for us this year but maybe we will be able to get a boost with this last game, all the players have worked hard behind the scenes and we have been delighted with the support from the schools and coaches, the tickets are out now so all we can do is appeal to supporters to now come out”
