Clann Éireann Ladies to Host 6th Annual Club 7-a-Sides

Clann Eireann Ladies, County Armagh, will be running their 6th annual seven a side memorial tournament on Saturday 18th April 2014.

 

The Marie Hoye & Caitriona Mc Keag 6th annual seven a side tournament

The tournament is in memory of 2 of the clubs great gaels; Marie was an extraordinary person who established Clann Éireann ladies football, her enthusiasm for ladies football at club & county level knew no bounds. Marie lost her long term battle with cancer at the age of 46. Caitriona was an exceptional young footballer who represented her club and county, Caitriona died at the young age of 16 from meningitis. Her exceptional talent was first recognised by Marie & it is very fitting that her shield is part of this tournament. Our club lost both these people within the space of 6 months of each other, devastating as it was we moved on and honour their memory with this great tournament.

This year the winner will win £250 worth of sports vouchers for their club, kindly sponsored by our ongoing main sponsor murphys law irish pub, florida, usa.

The tournament is open to all grades, draws will be made on the day at 10.30 am, every team is guaranteed at least 3/4 games depending on group size, your 4/5th game will either be in the cup or shield competition depending where you finish in the group.

After the huge success of last years tournament with over 20 teams participating, we are limiting this years tournament to only 16 places, FIRST COME FIRST SERVED,, ENTER YOUR TEAM NOW

 

cost for the tournament includes lunch for all you team (panel of 12) & 2 mentors, you can make a day of it, as we have live entertainment from 6pm in our social club, its a big day in our annual calendar, always a great day
