Clare Intermediates prove too strong for GMIT

Intermediate Challenge
Clare 7 – 21    G.M.I.T. 1 – 4
Clare’s Intermediate ladies proved too strong for the students of GMIT in this one sided challenge game played at St. Flannan’s College Ennis on Sunday February 10th.  Such was Clare’s overall superiority throughout the game is is doubtful if either management will have learnt a whole lot from the encounter.  Still it afforded Clare with the opportunity to give added match time to new panellists even if the opposition and the pace of the game was well below county standard.
Clare take on Waterford at a Waterford venue on Sunday next in the second round of the 2008 Suzuki National League.  The game will have a 2.30pm throw in but a definite venue has still to be confirmed.
2.    February Co. Board Meeting
Club delegates are reminded that the February Co. Board meeting will take place in the West County Hotel at 8.30pm on Tuesday the 12th.
3.    County U16 and Minor Training
Training for the 2008 U-16 and Minor panels will take place at the Cloughleigh All Weather Pitch Ennis on Saturday February 16th at 11.00am.  All prospective players are requested to attend as Munster championships will commence in early March so the panels need to be finalised.
