Game 2: Doonbeg 4 – 4 Liscannor 1 – 2

Game 3: Doonbeg 5 – 4 Banner Ladies B 0 – 1

Doonbeg and Liscannor now progress to Championship semi-finals while the Banner Ladies B progress to Shield semi-final.

This was a great evening's sport and entertainment in Lee's Road in Ennis. While the town team gave their all and defended stoutly against superior opposition the girls of both teams from the West were excellent on the night.

The game between Doonbeg and Liscannor was particularly enjoyable with some excellent exhibitions of high fielding, blocking down and foot-passing. Both these excellent sides should do really well in their respective semi-finals and for my mind are odds on to meet again in the final. The Banner Ladies B team also performed with distinction although out of their depth against first team opposition. Still they have qualified for the Shield semi-final so all is not lost for the town side.

Well done to all the teams & their mentors for such a great evening's entertainment and for three games that were played in such an excellent spirit. Thanks to Lee's Road also for making their facilities available and especially to Richard Murphy who had the pitch and dressing rooms in excellent order.
