The final will also take place the same evening with the winning team going forward to represent Clare in the All Ireland series in Cavan in early July.

3. U-14 and Minor County Fixtures

The Clare minor and U-14 teams travel to Kerry this Saturday to face the home side in their respective Munster championships. The minor’s last outing was a thrilling win over Tipperary but our U-14’s suffered a very heavy defeat to Cork last weekend. Hopefully both teams will acquit themselves well against very tough opposition. The U-14’s have already qualified for the Munster B final but they will still be anxious to give Kerry a good game.

4. Sponsorship

The Clare Ladies Board hopes to announce a new sponsorship deal in the coming week. The deal, which will be performance related, has already netted the Board a substantial cash windfall following the county team’s qualification for the Suzuki national league final. This game will be played over the May Bank Holiday weekend and will be broadcast live on TG4.

5. U-12’s

A series of U-12 club blitzes will take place at various venues throughout the county over the next two weeks. Please contact your club for further information or contact Michael Edwards-Murphy (event co-ordinator) at 087-9143690 for further information.
