The ESB Moneypoint Clare U – 14 A Final between The Banner Ladies Ennis and Wolfe Tones na Sionna will take place at The Banner GAA Grounds on Thursday next, October 19th @ 5.15pm in The Banner GAA Grounds in Shanaway Road in Ennis. 2. Further county training for current U – 12’s will again take place in St. Joseph’s Doora-Barefield’s grounds in Gurteen next Saturday at 3.45pm. Last weekend 42 players attended and a very successful trial was held. Hopefully all players will attend again this Saturday and those clubs whose players missed this first trial will have all their prospective county panellists in attendance. The objective of these sessions is to formulate a panel for the upcoming U-12 Inter-county tournament featuring Dublin, Limerick, Galway, Wexford, Cork, Tipperary and Down which will be staged here in Clare. Developing a prospective panel for next season’s U-14 championship is also on the minds of the selectors. So clubs please send your best representatives forward for these trials. 3. Cooraclare will play their VHi Munster Intermediate Championship Final in Hospital, Co. Limerick @ 3.30pm next Sunday. All ladies’ football supporters in Clare are urged to attend this match and support this great team who are representing the Banner county in Munster. Good luck to Coooraclare in the Munster final. 4. Congratulations to The Burren Gaels who won the ESB Moneypoint U – 14 C Clare Ladies Football Championship final on Saturday with an emphatic 8 – 2 to 3 – 7 win over Shannon Gaels. Goals win matches and although both teams scored on ten occasions the eight green flags raised for The Burren Gaels were of obvious utmost value. 5. Congratulations also to Éire Óg of Ennis who captured the ESB Moneypoint Clare U – 14 D Championship with a replay victory over a great Liscannor team. Final score Éire Óg 5 – 5, Liscannor 5 – 2. 6. Ennis Town Council is hosting a Civic Reception next Friday evening for The Banner Ladies Football Club in recognition of their fantastic achievement in winning this year’s Féile Peil na nÓg All Ireland Division One Championship.
