CLARE’S Fidelma Marrinan is the leader in the race for the 2024 ZuCar Golden Boot award! Marrinan won the award last year and her astonishing haul of 4-1 against Monaghan in last Sunday’s TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship clash has the West Clare Gaels forward out in front in the early stages again in 2024, with one round of Junior and Intermediate Championship fixtures completed. In the current top 5, Marrinan is ahead of players from Leitrim, Louth and Tyrone. The ZuCar Golden Boot award will be presented to the player who finishes as leading scorer across the three grades in the TG4 All-Ireland Junior, Senior and Intermediate Championships.
