Geevagh all Ireland finalists in the 2003 national
sevens will be hoping to capture the Connacht
Junior title next Sunday. They will be inspired
by Sligo’s great effort in the TG4 All Ireland
in which many club members were panelests most
notably young Connacht player of the year 2003
Stephanie O’ Reilly.

The Grainne Mhaols side are very young team who
have shown great promise since their foundation
three years ago surrounds Lisa Cohill the Galway
senior’s leading forward.

Aughawillan v St Brigid’s: Venue Aughawillan:

Aughawillan 2004 shield winners in the All Ireland
seven’s earlier this month seem to be the inform
team and with home advantage have to be given
the nod as favourites.

St Brigid’s a long established club couldn’t be
written off. The brilliant effort by Roscommon
Senior Ladies Football team has inspired the counties
club teams to lift their skills and enthusiasm.
