Cork and Armagh Players Join International Rules Squad for Final Trial Players from the Cork and Armagh sides, who competed in last Sundays TG4 All Ireland Senior Final, will join the Ladies International Rules panel for the final trial which will take place in St Pats, Drumcondra this coming Friday and Saturday. Juliet Murphy, the Cork captain who led her Rebel side to a second All Ireland title in a row, joins the squad as does Armagh captain Bronagh ODonnell, who was Irish Independent / Lucozade Sport Player of the Month for September. The other Armagh players joining the squad are corner back Caoimhe Marley and the impressive midfield partnership of Caroline OHanlon and Alma ODonnell, twin sister of Bronagh. The Cork players coming into the squad include corner back Rena Buckley, midfielder Norita Kelly and full forwards Valerie Mulcahy and Mary OConnor. Team Manager Jarlath Burns knows he has a difficult task ahead as he and his fellow selectors will have to cull at least four players from the 34 woman strong squad for the International Rules series against Australia which begins at the end of this month.
