On this Saturday Cork travel to Kilmallock in Limerick, bidding to capture their 4th Munster under 14 title in a row, the game is timed for 2.30. Waterford provide the opposition. Cork have had just one game to date in the Championships while Waterford have had the benefit of 4 games. In their semi-final against Kerry Cork put up a tremendous performance winning on a scoreline of 8 – 10 to 4 – 4. While the forwards led by Amanda Murphy, who incredibly is going for her 4th in a row as well, ran riot against the Kingdom girls. The performance of the backs was a concern to the Cork management. That problem seems to have been sorted out, in their recent All-Ireland under 14 blitz win in Mullingar Cork played 5 games winning them all, scoring 14-34 while conceding a mere 2-6. Cork will be well motivated for this game and judging by their form to date they will take a lot of beating. Nothing can be taken for granted at this level, Waterford have a great tradition in Ladies football and up to few years ago they were the kingpins in the Province, now that the balance of power at underage level has switched to Cork, the rebel girls will be totally focussed on continuing that success Cork Panel: Antoinette OConnor St Vals, Claire OLeary, Kilmeen, Vicky Power Beara, Emer ODonovan Aghada, Patricia Murphy Aghada, Orla OSullivan, Dunmanus Rovers, Roisin OSullivan, Mourneabbey, Laura Harrington Mourneabbey, Linda Barrett Donoughmore, Tracy Mullane Liscarroll, Amanda Murphy Beara, Jenny Luddy Mourneabbey, Aine OSullivan Beara Capt Rhona Buckley Naomh Fionbarra, Noelle Corkery Naomh Aban.
