27 January 2010 Cork County Board News Share this Article 0 0 0 Shares! 0 Shares! Cork County Board News U16 County Trials continue at Mayfield GAA – this Saturday January 30th @ 11am . Quizmania Due to the bad winter weather Quizmania which was due to take place on February 5th at the Rochestown Park Hotel , has now been deferred to April 9TH 2010–same venue. It is hope this deferment will enable all Ladies Football Clubs to now run their local quizzes with the winners going forward to the Final on April 9th. The Quiz is open to any County Board , sporting association , school , work social group , or society & with €6,000 of a prize fund should be a great night for all entrants. Why not come to Cork foe thw last weekend of the Easter Holidays and bring your club or county board team & ( maybe take home some of those great prizes ) . Team of 4 costs €150 and teams can be entered to / further information available from Brian Enright Cork Ladies Football Chairman Boherbue Mallow Co Cork 085-1100827 or any Cork Ladies Football Club or County Board Offic Grading Changes As passed at the January County Board meeting – All County Championships for 2010 have been regraded . The result of same is that all Clubs that played Intermediate Championship in 2009 are now Senior graded as well as the Junior A County 2009 Champions , Clubs that played Junior A are now Intermediate Graded as well as the Junior B 2009 Champions ; with Junior B teams from 2009 &Junior C County 2009 Champions now Junior A graded for 2010. This will hopefully enhance the quality of football played throughout the county. Senior Clubs meeting – A meeting of the Senior football clubs will take place with the County Fixtures Committee on February 8th to try & get dates for all county competitions for 2010 – venue & time TBA. Club Secretaries & Pros meeting . A meeting of all club & divisional Secretaries & Pro ‘s with the County Secretary & County Pro will take place on February 4th 2010. This will hopefully be well supported by all Cork Clubs so that in 2010 we can get out the message of what Ladies Football has to offer all to an even wider audience than 2009. Venue & Time TBA.
