Cork, Dublin, Galway and Kerry teams named for TESCO NFL Division 1 Semi Finals

The TESCO NFL Division 1 Semi Finals take place this Sunday and they are two of the most keenly anticipated matches in recent years. Defending champions, Cork, come face to face with their neighbours and great rivals, Kerry at this stage for the second year in a row. In the other semi final Dublin will meet Galway in a match between two sides that will have a great say in the destination of the TESCO NFL Division 1 title but also the TG4 Senior championship later this year.

Cork have changed their starting 15 significantly for this clash as Eamonn Ryan has returned many of his most experienced players to the starting 15 for this clash. Kerry too have named an extremely strong 15 also for what should be a great contest between these teams that know each other so well. Dumcollogher/Broadford will be the venue with a throw in time of 2:00pm.

Div 1 - Cork v Kerry

It had appeared that Dublin’s chance of reaching the semi finals had disappeared only for a resounding victory over Cork booking their place in the semi final. Galway finished top of the league table after 7 rounds but were held to a draw when these two sides met in Tuam earlier this year. St. Loman’s in Mullingar at 2pm is the venue for this match that will be a great indicator of where both teams lie with the championship ahead.
