Cork's Narrow Win Sends Them Top

Cork v Kerry - TESCO HomeGrown Ladies National Football League Division 1 Round 2

Cork came out on top of their local battle with Kerry but only by the narrowest of margins as only a point separated the sides at the final whistle. Dublin and Galway played out an entertaining draw in Tuam Stadium despite the fixture being in doubt due to a thick fog in Tuam. Mayo made the journey to Laois and justified their favourites tag with a good win over their hosts.

In Division 2 Donegal and Armagh both made light work of their lack of a match in Round 1 as they both recorded wins with both counties scoring 6 goals. Cavan maintained their good start to the season with a fine win over Kildare.

Waterford recorded a resounding home win over Fermanagh with Leitrim also winning on the road away to Tipperary. Division 4 had great wins for Offaly and Limerick whilst Louth were victorious over their great rivals, Antrim by a single point.
