Corofin begin their defence of the crown

Corofin Senior ladies reigning Connacht Senior league champions started their defence of the league last evening at the base of the twelve Pins in a pictorial setting by defeating Graine Mhaoels on a score line of 6-14 to 2-3.

It was inspiring to see Patricia Gleeson return and show leadership after her resent illness.

This was a good all round performance but a much improved performance will be required when they play Hollymount away in the next round.

Good luck to Pat Gleeson, Michael Ryder management of the Galway B team and all the Corofin Girls involved who play Doire in the National League semi final Sunday next at a venue yet to be decided
