On Saturday the 2nd May Den Haag GAA will celebrate 125 years of the Gaelic Athletic Association with first round of the Pan European Ladies Gaelic Football Championship and the second round of the Men’s Benelux Region Gaelic Football Championship. The day’s celebrations will take place at the Westlandse Rugby Club in Den Haag with games being played from 10am until 6pm. The tournament will see teams traveling from around Europe to compete for the days spoils and will see the European champions from 2006, 2007 and 2008 in both the men’s and ladies championships in attendance. Throughout the day there will be refreshments and snacks available alongside the pitch so a great day entertainment and fun is to be had by all. The celebrations will continue that night in O’Caseys Irish Pub, Den Haag, with the presentation of the trophies and a great night’s entertainment with live music running throughout the evening.
