The next meeting of the County Board takes place in Parnell Park at 7.30pm on Tuesday 15th. The agenda has been circulated to delegates.

Dublin Under 16 trials are continuing apace. The Management expect to have assessed about 100 potential players. This is a very positive response and although only 30 players can eventually form the panel it is a testament to the standard in the Clubs that so many are considered to be of Inter County calibre. Well done to all who took part and to the U16 management for a well run exercise.

The Bord Gais National League starts on Sunday February 7th next with an away fixture with old rivals Cork.

APPEAL to Clubs in the FINGAL INDEPENDENT catchment area. Nominees for the “Fingal Independent” SPORTS STAR of the year awards have been announced and include Dublin’s Niamh McEvoy Jr and Cliodhna O’Connor. Nominees are successful by popular vote of the readership. MAKE SURE you get a copy of the newspaper, fill in the voting slip for our girls and hopefully we can add to our list of achievements.

Well done to St Sylvester’s on their first Annual Awards night. Congrats to Sinead Ahearn who picked up the Ladies Footballer of the Year gong in her Club .
