DLGFA Notes W/E 13th December 09 The next meeting of the County Board takes place in Parnell Park at 7.30pm on Tuesday 15th. The agenda has been circulated to delegates. REMINDER – the County Secretary has circulated the details of the Leinster Council 3rd Level scholarship scheme. These need to be returned in early January, so please ensure you don’t forget over the Christmas Holidays Dublin Under 16 trials are continuing apace. The Management expect to have assessed about 100 potential players. This is a very positive response and although only 30 players can eventually form the panel it is a testament to the standard in the Clubs that so many are considered to be of Inter County calibre. Well done to all who took part and to the U16 management for a well run exercise. The Bord Gais National League starts on Sunday February 7th next with an away fixture with old rivals Cork. APPEAL to Clubs in the FINGAL INDEPENDENT catchment area. Nominees for the “Fingal Independent” SPORTS STAR of the year awards have been announced and include Dublin’s Niamh McEvoy Jr and Cliodhna O’Connor. We missed mentioning the St Finian’s Swords Fashion Show at the end of November. Well done to all in Rivervalley! A number of Club Juvenile Players represented their schools in Cumann na mBunscoil in Croke Park over the weekend. A great day was had by all.
