DLGFA -Weekly Notes 25th May 2009 The Golf committee would like to thank those who supported the very successful 2009 Golf Classic which took place last Friday in St Margaret’s Golf Club. A Team from Parnell’s took away the cup this year. The team was captained by Peter Clarke which also included, Ger and Brendan Brady and David Flanagan. Second place went to Naomh Barrog with third place going to St Peregrines. Pictures and full scores of the day can be viewed on www.dublinladiesgaelic.ie Well done to Senior B squad who won away on Sunday to Mayo on a score line of 1-7 to 4-10 in the Aisling McGing Championship. The U14 Leinster final was postponed on Saturday due to water logged pitches. Please see website for new fixture details. Thanks to Armagh for a friendly over the weekend for our Senior Team. The last round of championship games will take place this week before the Exams break. Fingallians play Na Fianna and Ballyboden St Endas play Foxrock/Cabinteeley in the Senior Championship this Wednesday. Winners of our Dublin Ladies Jersey were the following, Marie Kavanagh – Round Towers Clondalkin and Dublin, Ross Carrick and Conor Lee. The correct answer was of course the Dublin Ladies Football teams are known as the “Jackies” thanks to all those who entered our competition.
