YOUR SUPPORT is welcome, as Dublin play their 2nd round of the Bord Gais Energy National League against Kildare at 2pm in Naomh Mearnog on Sunday. Last year both teams drew 12 points apiece in the same compeititon . Dublin hope to build on their round one victory over All Ireland finalists of 2008 Monahgan.

U13 Dev Squad Applications for the position of Manager and his/her management team are now being invited.
Persons interested should complete the application on our website before Wednesday 18th February 2009.

Well done to the 27 coaches who received their certification on Saturday from Foxrock/Cabinteely, Skerries Harps, Round Towers of Lusk, St Slyvesters, Naomh Mearnog, OTooles, Craobh Chiaran, Parnells, Scoil Ui Chonaill, Raheny, Clontarf, Ballyboden St Enda, Lucan Sarsfields,Innisfails and St Margarets. Many thanks to Lyn Savage and Fingallians for hosting a great event. Photo’s from course are viewable our website. The second FUNdementals course due to take place in Kilmacud Crokes is now full. Senior Development and U16 trials were postponed over the weekend due to frozen pitches. Details will be posted on our website with new dates,times and venues.

The next County Board meeting has been changed from Tuesday 17th February to Wednesday 18th due to the unavailability of Parnell Park on the former date.

Congratulations to John Sheridan of Kilmacud Crokes who was one of twenty-nine recipients of the Coiste na Seana Gael awards recently at a function in Erin’s Isle for his services to the GAA over the years. This was the ninth year of the awards and nearly three hundred people have now been honoured

Congratulations to Patricia Monahan, National Games Administrator, on being honoured with the St. Monica’s Club Person of the Year award. She received the Terry Monahan Memorial Cup, named after her father, from her uncle, Gerard who returns annually from the USA for the ceremony.

The deadline for affiliation to the Dublin Ladies Board for 2009 has passed so only those clubs who are paid up will be entitled to compete in competitions organised by the Association. Monday 9th February was the deadline.

February 15th – Dublin(h) v Kildare. 2pm.(Naomh Mearnog)
February 22nd – Dublin(a) v Galway. 2pm.

Congratulations to Tony Lennon, referee who celebrated his sixtieth birthday recently and to fellow referee, David McCabe, who has recently reached a milestone of having refereed 2,500 games. Well done to both.
