The O’Neill’s sponsored – Annual Gala Dinner & Awards Evening took place last Friday in Croke Park. Well done to everybody who picked up awards. Well done to Whitehall Colmcille and St.Sylvester’s on receiving awards in the inaugural “Club Awards” initiative. The overall “Club of Year Award 2008” was presented to Sue Lillis on behalf of Clontarf GAA. The special guests on the evening were the All Ireland winning Minor team who received a standing ovation on the evening. A big thank to you to the 240+ people who attended, RTE’s Joanne Cantwell our M.C for the evening, O’Neill’s for their kind sponsorship and to Kathleen Colreavy on coordinating a great event. Bandwidth.ie Telecomunications – Juvenile finals started over the weekend. The U10 & U11 finals took place in O’Tooles on Saturday. The U12 & U13 finals due to take place on Sunday were postponed due to water logged pitches. DLGFA would like to thank O’Tooles and Ray Smith for coordinating the finals in a very professional manner and making it a special day for all the girls.Photos from the finals can be viewed on our website. A important document has been forwarded to club delegates to outline our proposed development plan for Juvenile’s also changes to bye-laws going forward. It’s important that club’s discuss this document and are aware of the proposals.

The Annual County convention will be on Tuesday 18th November at 19.30hrs in Parnell Park. Nomination Forms, etc have been circulated, contact your delegate.
ALL MENTORS are asked to contact the assigned REFEREE minimum of 2 days before the game. Should the referee be unavailable the Fixtures Co-ordinator should be contacted at 086-2503844 and a new referee will be arranged. REFEREES will be updated on website as they are changed so clubs are asked to check this on a regular basis.
