Donegal Ladies Football Notes

Last weekend our,mens team under the management of Jim Mc Guinness did us all proud by reaching the All Ireland semi final. This week on Saturday at 6pm on TG 4 our ladies will endeavour under the management of Eamonn O”Boyle, will meet the ladies from Kerry in the championship so here is hoping our county will be celebrating again. So good luck to them. Dublin v Galway are on the same station at the earlier time of 4:15pm.

The county championships were played at the weekend with the following results.

Senior Semi Finals

Glenfin 1-7 Termon 1-5.

Four Masters 3-14 Aodh Ruadh 1-3,

Intermediate Final

Convoy 2-4 Ardara 0-5.

Junior Semi Finals

Cloughaneely 4-12 Robert Emmets 2-6,

Naomh Conaill 4-5 Naomh Mhuire 3-5,

The Senior and Junior Finals will be played on Sunday 14th August at venues TBC.

The Ladies county draw took place in the Clanree in Letterkenny on Thursday night , the winners on the night were

500 Euros James Conaghan, Killygordon.

300 Euros Irene Friel Milford,

100 Euros Dave Mc Laughlin Moville.

Our sincere thanks to all who sold tickets for the draw and those who took part in the bucket collections at all the clubs throughout the county to give much needed finance to the county treasurer to pay for all the expenses incurred by county teams during the season so far and for the rest of the games still to be played .
