DONEGAL LADIES G.A.A NOTES What an exciting and wonderful week Donegal ladies have had in the last seven days, with a great night in the Clanree on Monday last when everyclub in the county came , gave and played their parts in a great night’s entertainment.Dominick Mc Glinchey must be highly commended for his commitment and input both on the stage and off ,and for the personalities from both men’s football and other sports he got to participate on the night. His choice of M.C was an inspiration as he kept the show flowingwith out a hitch all night. From the moment Sarah Faulkner took the stageuntil Glenfin brought the house down with their antics it was fun all the way. Much needed funds were raised and our sincere thanks to all the playersand clubs who put maximum effort into the venture. On the field our underage county teams did us proud on three different fronts in the one afternoon at u14 in Convoy, u16, and u18 in Fintona all against Tyrone and came away with a win, a draw, and a loss by a single point.Well done to all the players and mentors who did us and theircounty proud. The same teams are out again this weekend with the U14’s making the long journey to Ballymacnab in Armagh while the other two games are in Milford at 1 30 pm and 3pm so come along and support them and see somevery good and skilful football. Tonight in the Clanree we had lectures to all executive officers in the clubs in the county with Gerry Doherty, Ulster Chairman, Mary Keegan Ulster Secretary, and Sheena Tally Ulster Development officer giving us all the benefit of their wisdom and initiating us in ways to enhance our clubs on all fronts and giving officers a chance to come forward with ideas of their own in child protection, Finance raising, mentors behavior on and off the pitch, and ways in which to get new recruits to come into our clubs to add a new dimension both in administration , and club enhancement in numbers and enlarging the structure going forward into the future.
