Cork Ladies U-12 B Football Championship Donoughmore 6.07 Bride Rovers 2.02 Donoughmore qualified for the county U12B final with a well deserved win over a gallant Bride Rovers outfit. The Donoughmore full forward, Rebecca Carney, dominated the match, played at Carraignavar on Saturday. She absolutely revelled in her role as principal attacker and notched a personal tally of 4.05. She was ably supported by full back Danielle O’Leary & Aisling Sexton at midfield. The Donoughmore girls were just that little bit physically stronger & craftier on the ball than their opponents. Despite trailing on a score line of 5.01 to 1.02 at half time Bride Rvs never gave up , and had their own star in midfielder , Maeve Dooley, who is another name for the future. Indeed on two occasions the crossbar robbed Bride Rvs of certain goals as they pressed forward gamely, principly through the efforts of Chloe O’Flynn & Jennifer Cahill. It was not to be their day though and Donoughmore ran out comfortable winners in the end.
