Crokes play a big role in Underdogs victory

The Underdogs ladies left it left late last night before securing
a win a 2 point win against the New York allstars on a scoreline
of 1-11 to 2-6. Dr Crokes Laura Buckley struck for the travelling
side’s only goal in injury to cap a fine display as Kerry’s only
representataive on the side chipped in with 1-3 of her side’s tally
at a game played in Gaelic Park in New York which marked the Ladies
side’s first ever game overseas.

Laura is a 21 year old nurse in Cork and earlier that day her brother
Johnny helped Dr Crokes retain their O’Donoghue Cup East Kerry title
with a facile victory over Rathmore.
