Draw for TG4 Ladies Football Quarter Finals to take Place
this Sunday at the Galway Races

Press Release

Monday, 31 July 2006

The draw for the quarter finals of the TG4 Ladies Football Championship
will take place this Sunday at 5pm, live from the Galway races.
TG4 will broadcast the draw.

TG4 Ceannasaí Pól Ó Gallchóir and
Ladies Football President Geraldine Giles will make the draw,
which sees the four provincial winners in one half of the draw
and the four provincial runners up in the other. A provincial
winner cannot play a provincial runner up from the same province.

The line up for the quarter final draw will be known before the
draw is made as the two remaining provincial finals take place
this Sunday. In Ulster, last year’s All-Ireland Junior champions
Armagh take on Monaghan in Clones, while in Leinster there will
be a new winner as Meath face Laois in Dr Cullen Park.

At Junior level, Fermanagh play Cavan in Ulster while Longford
take on Wexford. Both games take place before the senior finals
as part of double headers.

The minor football replay between Galway and Cork will take place
this Saturday in Birr at 4.00pm.
