Dublin continue their winning ways

St Annes Bohernabreena was the venue for Sunday’s
Suzuki Ladies National Football League Div 1B
clash between Dublin and Waterford. With wind
advantage in the first half the visitors notched
up 1-4 before Karen Hopkins scored Dublin’s first
point. Waterford led 2-8 to Dublin’s 0-3 at the
half way stage. Dublin stepped up a gear in the
second half with the help of the wind and notched
up 8 points.

Despite Emma Redmond’s 3 excellent saves, Waterford
came away with full points to finish top of the
Table. However, finishing 3rd in Div 1B Dublin
qualify for the Quarter Final to be played on
Sunday 27th March at a venue to be decided.

Scorers –
K. Roche 0-6 (4 Frees), K. Hopkins
0-2, A. McGuinness, S. Aherne, and N. Hurley 0-1
each.

Dublin B 4-13 Meath 0-5
Table toppers in the Suzuki Ladies National Football
League Div 3B Dublin B travelled to Rathoath on
Sunday last to take on Meath. Dublin totally dominated
this game and now advance to the Semi-Final on
10th April, venue to be decided. Scorers – Lorna
Hillery 2-4, Ciara Birges 2-2, Emma Dunne 0-2,
R. Gillen, K. Hudson, K. Murphy, A. Gallagher,
O. Schilard 0-1 each.

The Dublin U14 and U16 teams both had good wins
against Wexford on Saturday. This result ensures
Leinster Championship Semi-Final spots for both
teams. Well done to all the girls involved.
