Lucozade sports education programme Dublin defeated Longford 7-24 to 1-2 in their final ’round robin’ match in the TG4 Leinster Ladies’ senior football championship when at Naomh Mearnog on Sunday 3rd July. Aided by a stiff breeze in the first half, Dublin led at the interval by 4-15 to 0-0, goals coming from Louise Kelly, Denise Masterson, Siobhan Roy and Catherine Roche. Dublin added a further 3-9 to their first half tally, when Louise Kelly found the net twice, and Niamh Hurley finished off a solid performance with a goal of her own. Longford’s Sharon Treacy goaled for her side mid way through the second half.
