Dublin Football Stars Rally the Troops Ahead of Ladies Football All Ireland Final Dublin stars Jason Sherlock, Ciaran Whelan and 2009 captain Paul Griffin have today called on all true Dublin fans to come out in their thousands and support the Dublin Ladies Football team in the All-Ireland Final this Sunday. Dublin face Cork as they go in search of their first ever All-Ireland senior title. Tickets are available from www.ticketmaster.ie and the Dublin game is the last game of an attractive triple header and throws in at 4pm. All-Ireland winner, veteran forward and seven-time Leinster champion Jason Sherlock said; “This game represents Dublin’s last chance of a senior All-Ireland this decade. The Ladies team deserves our support and I would call on all true Dublin GAA people to get out and head to Croke Park this Sunday. Tickets are available all week and on the day and there is no excuse for not playing your part.” All-Star midfielder and Dublin legend Ciaran Whelan backed the Ladies team as well. “The Ladies work as hard as the men and make the same sacrifices. Gerry McGill’s team have done brilliantly to get this far but to beat a great team like Cork who are going for five-in-a-row they will need huge support and it would be a massive morale booster if there were thousands of Dubs fans there on the day.” Dublin captain Paul Griffin concluded. “This Dubs team comes from every corner of the county and they have done Dublin football proud to reach an All-Ireland final. It would be great for Dublin GAA to claim an All-Ireland title and to finish the year on a high. All the Dublin men’s 2009 panel are supporting the team and wish the girls every success and Stephen Cluxton’s sister is playing which means there are family ties between the panels. The ladies have always been great supporters of ours and I hope that Dublin fans will head to Croke Park on Sunday as it could make all the difference.” Share this Article 0 0
