07 May 2015 Dublin GAA host Scór na nÓg Share this Article 0 0 0 Shares! 0 Shares! Dublin G.A.A. recently hosted the All-Ireland finals of Scór na nÓg, on 14th February and Scór Sinsear, on 25th April. The events were held at Citywest Hotel and over 2,000 people attended on both occasions. The two events were both outstanding successes. Attendance was up on previous years and the days were recorded for broadcast by “Irish TV”. The Scór competitions highlight the best of Irish cultural talent from within the ranks of the G.A.A. Like lifting the Sam Maguire or Liam McCarthy cups in September, winning a Scór All-Ireland medal is as high as you can go. The standard of Ceilí dancing, solo singing, traditional music groups, ballad groups, drama acts, recitations and Set dancing were as good as it gets. The table quiz section was extremely tough, well done to the 32 counties that were represented. The new G.A.A. President, Aogán Ó Fearghail was present at the Scór Sinsear (adult) competition while his predecessor, Liam Ó Néill made the presentations at the junior competition Scór na nÓg, his last official event as President. Coiste Scór Átha Cliath would like to thank all those that competed and everyone that helped on the day.
