Dublin Ladies County Board Announcements The Dublin Ladies County Board are delighted to announce appointments to a number of county team Manager positions. For the first time in many years all 5 county management positions became vacant. This has allowed us take a step back and look again at how we operate on the county front. In conjunction with a number of very respected experts in the field, a Strategic Plan has been drawn up and focuses on the purpose, objectives and methods of each team as well as the spirit in which we operate as a unit. This Plan played an important part in the appointments process and we are delighted to have on board candidates who are fully committed to its implementation and who bring with them the experience, commitment and dedication needed to turn the dream into a reality. For the first time the Minor and Junior teams are combined under one management team and we are delighted to announce the appointment of Dave Cullen to the position. Dave has played a vital part on the senior county management team for the last 3 years resulting in 3 Leinster titles and two All Ireland finals. Says County Board Chairman John Hillery of the appointment Dave Cullen brings to the table experience gained from working with managers, coaches and players of the highest calibre, operating at the highest level in ladies football. It is little wonder his appointment met with complete and unanimous support at this weeks county board meeting. Also appointed to Daves management team was Dublin playing legend Martina Farrell and Anne OMahony who has also worked with Dave and the senior management team for the last 3 years. Also appointed on the night to the Dublin U16 position was Dermot Connolly of Cabinteely club who for the last two years has played a pivotal role with the Dublin U14 teams who have achieved back to back All Ireland successes. Dermot brings with him a wealth of experience and enthusiasm and a proven track record. John Hillery said of the appointment Our strategy for Dublin focuses on the development and preparation of young players at county level for their senior team roles in the future. Dermot shares this vision with us and has all the credentials required to deliver. The Dublin Ladies County Board congratulate all newly appointed candidates, wish them and their players well in the season ahead and look forward to working with them on the continued development and success of ladies football in the capital.
