Face Painting, etc. Both Parnell Park games will be televised by Setanta T.V Dublin LadiesFootballCo.ChampionshipFinalsParnellPark Fri. 12th Aug. First up on Friday at 6.45 pm is the Intermediate battle between old rivals Parnells & St Brigids. Both teams have competed for many years at Senior level and are determined to get back up there. In their two showdowns this year Brigids were narrow victors, but with two experienced teams who are also well stocked with an impressive list of county players, this promises to be an exciting battle. 2004 All Ireland champions and 5 times in a row Dublin champions Ballyboden St Endas are the favorites for the Senior clash at 8.15 pm against Mobhi Road s Na Fianna army. With at least 8 of the Senior Dublin Panel in its ranks, one could be forgiven for assuming it to be a one-sided affair. But assume so at your peril. Na Fianna too are an experienced side in big match situations with an impressive record as All Ireland Intermediate semi-finalists in 2003 and 4 County stars in their camp. This promises to be a battle of the best Dublin has to offer and a quality match can be expected. Setanta Sports coverage of the Dublin Ladies Club Championship Finals is an historic event and one that shows the progress and profile of what is officially the fastest growing sport in Ireland, with Dublin leading the way.
