Ladies National Football League Quarter-Final

Dublin A 2-10 Galway A 3-9

After their defeat by Galway in last years All-Ireland
final Dublin Ladies headed to Castledaly with
a changed team all fired up for their encounter
with the All-Ireland Champions. This was a close
contest with some good football from both sides
in the first half resulting in a half time score-line
of Galway 1-6 Dublin 0-5.

Galway dominated the first 15 mins of the second
half scoring 2-3 to Dublin’s 0-2. However, Dublin
finished very strong with 2 great goals from Karen
Hopkins. This was a gripping game from start to
finish and the only difference between the 2 teams
was M. Delaney’s goal for Galway in the 26th minute.

Although Dublin are disappointed not to have progressed
to the League semi-final they have put in some
great performances in this league campaign and
will now concentrate their efforts on preparing
for their first Championship match against Meath
in early May.
