Education Minister presents Lorna Hillery with Scholarship

Minister for Education & Science, Mary Hanafin T.D presents
Lorna Hillery (Castleknock) with her Sports Scholarship in a ceremony
where Lorna was the only female recipient of this prestigious
award.

Lorna currently serves on the Dublin Senior Ladies Football panel
and is a member of Castleknock Hurling & Football Club. Her
scholarship will enable her to advance her sporting career at
the highest level in parallel with her chosen third-level undergraduate
Business Studies Degree.

The full compliment of sporting facilities at Blanchardstown
Institute of Technology will be made available to Lorna to advance
her training schedule. The Director of Sport at the College, Ronan
Keaskin will formulate a comprehensive training program for Lorna’s
benefit.
