Elverys Dublin Ladies Football A Chairde, The Dublin team, adorned in their new Elverys jerseys, assembled proudly behind their new corporate sponsors banner for the official team photograph in OMoore Park, Portlaoise on Saturday, as they participated in their third consecutive All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Championship Semi-Final, broadcast live on TG4. Alas, Galway (2-10), the reigning All-Ireland champions, overwhelmed Dublin (0-7) in a superb display of football. (See todays national press for reports, photographs, etc, and TG4s GAA Beo and Árd San Áer, etc). Prior to the Dublin -v- Galway encounter, Mayo (1-9) lost out by a single point to the reigning National League Champions, Cork (0-13). However, from a marketing perspective, the Dublin senior team has appeared in Croke Park on no fewer than 3 occasions over the past two years and have 4 consecutive Leinster provincial titles to their credit. Media coverage has been growing commensurate with Dublins success on the field of play. In contrast to the all familiar Arnotts attire, it was great to see the Elverys Dublin Ladies replica jerseys on the Dubs supporters within the crowd. Dublins underage structure is riding the crest of a wave at the moment and the future certainly looks bright. Dublin still has a lot to offer and we look forward to a bright and prosperous future. You win some; you lose some! But the Elverys publicity was immeasurable. The players and management gave of their best but were outclassed on the day by a superb Galway outfit. Our sincere gratitude to John OLeary (Team Manager) and his selectors Dave Cullen, Anne OMahony and Frankie Byrne together with their backroom team of Tonya Allen, Billy Passmore and Tom Moriarty. We wish both Galway and Cork the very best in the TG4 All-Ireland Final on Sunday 2nd October in Croke Park. Elverys Sports Proud sponsors of Dublin Ladies Football. Share this Article 0 0
