Evening Echo Cork Football Championship

Following the huge homecoming celebrations last night with hundreds
attending to welcome the All-Ireland ladies football champions,
the attention will soon turn to the Evening Echo senior championship
final this Sunday with 11 players participating.

Cork captain Juliet Murphy leads her club Donoughmore along with
dual stars Rena Buckley and Mary O’Connor. While Emer Walsh, Aisling
O’Connor and Sarah O’Connell also line out.

Cork Manager Mary Collins is involved in the Rockchapel backroom
staff and lining out for them are Cork stars Regina Curtain, Brid
Stack, Norma Kelly and sisters Sinead and Deirdre O’Reilly and
Norita and Mairead Kelly.

The Cork midfield duo of Juliet Murphy (Donoughmore) and Norita
Kelly (Rockchapel) will be a fasinating contest.

* THE BRENDAN MARTIN CUP WILL BE ON DISPLAY DURING THE GAME AND
LOCAL GIRL AND CORK PLAYER GERALDINE O’FLYNN WILL BE INTRODUCED
AT HALF TIME. PLAYERS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR TO POSE FOR PHOTOS
AND SIGN AUTOGRAPHS.
