Down Captain, Niamh McGowan, is preparing herself for September 28th when she leads her county out onto Croke Park for the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Football Final against Fermanagh. Niamh works as a physio in Daisy Hill Hospital where she works hard helping patients with their rehab from various different injuries. She then leaves her work to make her way to training with Down which is something she could do up to 5 times a week. Niamh talks to us about how much effort that she puts into her chosen sport and the sacrifices that she makes to lead her county.
