Ferris and Marrinan to battle it out for ZuCar Golden Boot award on TG4 All-Ireland Finals Day!

IT’S a two-player race for the 2023 ZuCar Golden Boot award!

Down’s Natasha Ferris continues to lead but she’s now just two points clear of Clare’s Fidelma Marrinan – with both players due to play at Croke Park on TG4 All-Ireland Finals Day!

Ferris scored 0-3 in the TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship semi-final victory over Carlow to move onto 7-26 in the overall standings.

That combined tally of 47 points is now two ahead of Marrinan, who bagged 0-5 in the Intermediate quarter-final win over Antrim to take her to 4-33 (45 points).

The nearest challenge to Ferris and Marrinan, Antrim’s Orlaith Prenter, cannot add to her tally following defeat to Clare, which leaves the leading pair well in front.

And with Down to play Limerick at Croke Park on August 13, before Clare take on Kildare in the Intermediate Final, the destination of the ZuCar Golden Boot will be decided on the biggest day of all!
