FIXTURES: Huge weekend of club activity in store across the four provinces

THERE’S a huge weekend of club action in store, with games taking place across the four provinces.

Arguably the pick of the bunch is the Connacht Senior Club championship semi-final on Saturday, as Mayo’s Carnacon, fresh from claiming a 21st successive county title, clash with Galway champions Kilkerrin-Clonberne, in what is a repeat of the 2018 and 2017 Connacht Senior Finals between the sides.

Carnacon won out after a replay two years ago, before Kilkerrin-Clonberne gained sweet revenge last year.

They’ll meet again on Saturday at the Clonberne Sports Field, with a 3pm throw-in time.

Also in the senior grade, the Leinster and Ulster Finalists will be decided on Sunday.

In Leinster, holders Foxrock-Cabinteely from Dublin put their title on the line against Kildare outfit Confey, with 2018 runners-up Sarsfields (Laois) up against Simonstown Gaels from Meath.

In Ulster, holders Donaghmoyne from Monaghan face a fixture against Down club Bredagh, while Termon from Donegal and Tyrone’s St Macartan’s meet in a tasty semi-final.
