Frank Browne Named Lidl Manager of the Month

Mayo’s Frank Browne was presented with the Lidl National Football League Manager of the Month award for February in association with the Irish Daily Star. Frank successfully negotiated his way through a tough set of fixtures in February to maintain a 100% record which saw Mayo storm to the top of the Lidl NFL Division 1 table.

Mayo made light of a difficult set of fixtures to defeat Cork away from home and followed that up with a home victory over Dublin before eking out a one point win away to their neighbours Galway in Round 3. They finished the month in style as the previously unbeaten Armagh were then easily disposed of to see Mayo sitting top of the table on the last weekend of the month.

Frank and Mayo have maintained that form as they maintain their 100% record sitting proudly at the top of the table and preparing for a semi final appearance. Frank was delighted to be named as the Lidl NFL Manager of the Month ‘This is an honour for me and for Mayo but it owes so much to the dedication of the players who have been fantastic and to my fellow management team who are all working so hard to make sure that Mayo are competing as well as we can at the top of the table.’

Frank was presented with the February Lidl NFL Manager of the Month award by Jenny Madden, Store Manager at Lidl Roscommon.
