FUN X 4 FUN X 4, a multisports programme developed for areas of Galway city is now in its 5th week and has proved to be very successful. Aided by Women in Sport Funding through the Galway City Sports Partnership this programme incorporates 4 sports: Ladies Gaelic, Camogie, Soccer and Rugby. Each night the participants get an opportunity to play all four sports in fun activities and skills sessions delivered by qualified coaches in each of the respective sports. Three areas are involved in the programme: Westside, Ballybane and Renmore with all three areas attracting large numbers each week. The programme will conclude with a blitz evening for all in the Renmore Recreation Centre on Saturday 26th July between 3.00 and 6.00pm. It is hoped that this programme will encourage the girls to continue to participate in physical activity and where possible join local sports clubs in the area.
