GABRIEL RANGERS(CORK) 4-11 OLD PARISH (WATERFORD) 3-9

Gabriel Rangers proved to be too strong for visitors Old
Parish in the Munster Championship played in Ballydehob
on Saturday last. Gabriels got off to a great start and
two early goals by Nollaig Cleary set up by her sister Emer
saw Gabriels leading by 2-4 to 0-2 at half time.

Old Parish however stormed into the game and with Waterford
seniors Mary O’Donnell and Deirdre Breathnach very strong
at midfield narrowed the margin to four points at one stage.
But Gabriels encouraged by the large home crowd were never
going to let this one slip and emerged winners by five points,
thanks to second half goals from Emer Cleary and Aoife Coughlan.

Final score was Gabriel Rangers 4-11,Old Parish 3-9
