Gaelic4Mothers on TV3

Conahy Shamrocks Gaelic4Mothers make an appearance on TV3s Ireland AM.

Conahy Shamrocks are one of the longer running Gaelic4Mothers teams in the LGFA. From Kilkenny they have led the way in terms of enthusiasm for the Gaelic4Mothers initiative. They have participated in a number of blitzes and always approach Gaelic4Mothers events with the right attitude – i.e. lets have a bit of fun!

Their appearance on TV3s Ireland AM was in conjunction with the Bord Gáis Energy Book Club. Bord Gáis Energy are the title sponsor of the LGFA National League, Manger of the Month and Teams of the League. They have started an online book club which has proven to be very popular. As many people don’t have time to attend a book club each week this online version makes being part of a book club very easy.

Conahy Shamrocks Gaelic4Mothers were approached to be the first official Gaelic4Mothers team to start a Bord Gáis Energy book club. Click on the link below to see how they got on…..

Also, remember that along with physical activity through Ladies Gaelic a central aim of Gaelic4Mothers is to build up social bonds and community spirit in an area, so don’t be afraid to try new things with your Gaelic4Mothers team. Along with the physical activity that Gaelic4Mothers provides starting a book club could be the perfect way to exercise the mind as well as the body with women from your local area.

And well done to Conahy Shamrocks………. Keep up the good work……
