TG4 ALL-IRELAND SEMI-FINALS GALWAY 1-10 v MAYO 1-10 After a titantic struggle Mayo and Galway will have to replay their TG4 All-Ireland Ladies semi-final next Saturday after a sensational finish in O’Moore Park today. Mayo with Cora Staunton in devastating form appeared to be coasting to yet another All-Ireland final but Galway hit 1-4 in the final five minutes to almost steal a famous win. Galway Centre-Forward Niamh Fahy snuck through a long range free attempt into the bottom left corner of the Mayo goal and Galway dramatically took the lead after 58 minutes thanks to Patricia Gleeson’s long-range effort. Mayo showed great determination and rallied and won a free which was coolly converted by Cora Staunton – who finished the game with a personal tally of 1-8. Mayo ended the match with 14 players after Diane O’Hora was dismissed following a collision with Marie O’Connell on 43 minutes. She now is due to miss the replay through suspension. Next weekends game should also be a titanic struggle as these teams know each other well, amazingly this will be the 4th time these two teams play in this years TG4 All-Ireland championship Share this Article 0 0
