Galway & Westmeath Name Starting teams

 

 

Galway and Westmeath are set to meet in the TESCO Homegrown National Football League Division 2 Final.

Westmeath will be the underdogs but have loads of talent in their side with the likes of Ruth Kearney and Johanna Maher providing strength in midfield and a dangerous inside forward line featuring Fiona Claffey at full forward.

Galway have maintained a 100% record to date but they know they will have to be at their best if they are to win the crown at the third time of asking having lost at this stage in the previous two years. Nicola Ward and Olivia Divilly make the step up from the minor ranks but there is loads of big game experience in the likes of Emer Flaherty, Sinead Burke, Annette Clarke and Lorna Joyce. Roisín Leonard is the dangerwoman but look out for the returning Edel Concannon and minor star Louise Ward to make big impacts from the substitutes bench.
