Gerry McGill is the Lidl/Irish Daily Star Manager of the Month for February

CARLOW manager Gerry McGill is the first winner of the Lidl Manager of the Month award for 2019, in association with the Irish Daily Star, for 2019.

McGill, the former Dublin and Tipperary boss, has steered an impressive Carlow outfit to the head of affairs in Division 4 of the Lidl National League, with four wins from four outings to date.

In the month of February alone, Carlow won all three of their matches, against Kilkenny, Limerick and Derry.

Gerry was presented with his award by Mateusz Maksymyiuk, Store Manager, at the Lidl store on Tullow Road in Carlow.

The team’s next outing is a home match against Fermanagh next Sunday, March 24.
