Glennon Brothers, a third generation Longford timber business, is delighted to announce its 3 year sponsorship of Longford Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA). This exciting announcement covers the Longford LGFA Senior team, who began their Lidl NFL campaign against Wicklow at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park yesterday. On May 18th 2021 Glennon Brothers, a third generation family timber processing business, entered into an agreement with SHV Energy to purchase Balcas Ltd, subject to approval from the Competition and Markets Authority in the UK and Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in Ireland. Glennon Brothers won the 2019 and 2020 TTJ Awards (Timber Trade Federation) for ‘Softwood Trader of the Year’. The TTJ Awards is widely seen as the most prestigious in the timber sector, ranging from forestry, production, distribution and end user markets and recognising companies in Ireland, the UK and globally for achievements in the Timber Trade Industry. In 2019, Glennon Brothers invested £14m in the Windymains (Scotland) facility, including a new log yard, log grader with 3D scanning capability, log sorter and additional drop sorter to increase production capacity by an additional 40,000m3.
