Golf Classic Fundraiser for Ladies Gaelic Football

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association
are once again organising a fundraising Golf classic
in Portumna Golf Club on Thursday 26th & Friday
27th June 2003 to help raise funds for the development
of Ladies Gaelic Football throughout the country.

The Association are in the process of completing a
five year strategic plan and to help implement this
plan we must raise an additional €300,000 this
year. The growth of our sport has been phenomenal
in recent years. Unfortunately the funding has not
been there to match this growth. To help sustain the
growth of Ladies Gaelic Football throughout the country
and improve and strengthen our structures, we are
asking you to support our association as we set out
on a fundraising drive.

The Organising Committee are currently in the process
of requesting teams to particapate in the Classic
at a cost of €500 per team of four, which includes
a meal for each participant.

We are also seeking sponsorship for each of the eighteen
holes, tees and greens ata a cost of €150 each.

With a prize fund of €6000, this is an ideal
opportunity to support the development of one of Ireland’s
fastest growing sports.

Presentation of prizes will take place at 10.00pm
on Friday 27th June in Portumna Golf Club House.
