Greg Farrelly was today named as the TESCO HomeGrown National Football League Manager of the Month for March in association with the Irish Daily Star. Farrelly has lead his Offaly side to the Division 4 final of the TESCO HomeGrown National Football League with some fine performances along the way. The Faithful ladies collected maximum points throughout February and March guaranteeing their progression to the knock out stages of Division 4. Offaly enjoyed good victories over Derry, Roscommon and Louth and dropped their only points away to Limerick having already qualified for the knock out stages. The Offaly side then faced a tricky semi final match against reigning All Ireland Junior champions, Antrim, on Sunday in Iniskeen at 2pm but they produced a great performance winning by 3-08 to 0-10 to set up a final appearance against Roscommon. Speaking at the presentation, Pat Quill, president of the LGFA said ‘We are delighted to present this award to Greg Farrelly who has helped to improve the fortunes of this Offaly team. Their achievements to date have been very impressive and their record of winning all but one match makes Greg a very worthy recipient of the TESCO HomeGrown Manager of the Month Award for March,’ Greg Farrelly said ‘It is great to see the efforts that are happening within Offaly being recognised with this award. The players have been fantastic to date and any success that we have had is down to their hard work and effort. However, we have won nothing yet and the focus is on Roscommon in the final and from there who knows.’ Share this Article 0 0
