International Rules Management Team Announced

 

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association have announced
the management team for the first ever Ladies International Rules
Series, taking place this year in Ireland.

Former Armagh captain Jarlath Burns has been named
manager of the squad, and he is joined by selectors from all four
provinces who have all been involved at the highest level with Ladies
Gaelic Football.

The selectors for the Irish International Rules squad
are a veritable who’s who of Ladies Football. Kerry Senior
Manager Robbie Griffin will work alongside Geraldine Sheridan, manager
of the Meath Senior team and mother of Meath captain Mary Sheridan.

Selector Pat Costello is the manager of the Galway
Junior and Minor sides and his minor team lost to Cork in an All-Ireland
Final replay earlier in the season. Hayley Boyle completes the team
of selectors and she was a joint manager of Armagh’s 2005 Junior
All-Ireland Championship winning side and is still working as joint
Manager of Armagh, the current Ulster Champions.

The first training camp is this weekend in Roscommon
on Saturday at 11am. The games take place on October 31st and November
4th, with venues to be decided in the coming weeks.
