The MMI Group Interprovincial Championships take place this weekend in Kinnegad on Saturday in what will be an exciting competition featuring the very best players from around the country. Connacht, Munster and Leinster will all hope to capture the title from Ulster who defeated the Westerners in last year’s final. The provinces will participate in a round robin competition commencing at 11 am with the top 2 finishers going on to contest the Cup Final and the other provinces meeting in the Shield Final. On Sunday we will have the second round of the Aisling McGing Under 21 competition. Dublin, Meath, Cork and Roscommon were all winners in round 1 whilst Tyrone and Clare will make their first appearances this weekend. Defending champions, Cork, travel to Clare where they will hope to build on a huge victory over Kerry last time out with the only other county ever to win the title, Dublin (although they haven’t won it since being redesignated as an Under 21 competition) making the journey to Garvaghey to take on Tyrone.
